Beidou Satellite Navigation System that is being operating in China, is the world’s third largest satellite navigation system, just after the Global Positioning System(GPS)of the US, and Russia’s GLONASS Satellite Navigation System. Since China’s official announcement that it will provide trial commercial service to the Asia-Pacific region on December 27,2012, by now, Beidou Satellite Navigation System has launched 16 Beidou navigation satellites, and is expected to launch 35 of them around 2020, establishing a global-covering Beidou Satellite Navigation System.As chips and module embody the core technology of Beidou Satellite Navigation System, this paper, based on the research of C# language and performance testing software that develops a Beidou navigational module, aims to change the conventional Beidou module testing through methods such as computer aided test and testing results of graphical display. The test results of manually operated conventional testing is easy to suffer a deviation as a result of many reasons such as inevitable environment influence, cumbersome testing procedures, and improper operations during the testing process. Loading Beidou navigational modules into testing evaluation boards, as well as connecting to the computer through serial port cables, this subject uses the testing software developed to get various output dates for judging performance indicators of modules through the analysis of NMEA protocol, and determines the performance of modules through the comparison with reference values.The main innovations of this thesis are:First, the test index has extended its previous single information positioning point to satellite signal, antenna status information, and can index speed value and positioning path based on latitude and longitude values;Second, the testing systems can also recode and playback the whole test process;Third, the display of test results have shifted from the paper dot of manual test to computer graphics, and the system also particularly designs various graphs such as current real-time positioning information list, positioning information view, satellite carrier to noise histogram, satellite carrier to noise information list view, skyplot, height and speed view, anchor point plane coordinates x y value trajectory track diagram, anchor point plane coordinate system diagram, anchor point height h trajectory graph, a receiver speed value graph and positioning path graph to display test results intuitively. This test software can be widely applied to the development process of Beidou terminal products, and Beidou navigational modules’ development, production, and testing processes. It significantly improves the test efficiency, reduces the test error and increases the testing precision.There is no doubt that the wide application of the performance testing software system of Beidou navigational modules and its subsequent extension system will have an important practical significance on the development and production of Beidou navigational products, and will significantly promote the development of Beidou navigational industry to catch up with, or even overtake the US’GPS.
