At present, China’s children’s publishing market is in unprecedented prosperity, however, duplicate publication is also exist and does harm to the market. China’s children’s publishing has its own particularity, it has a large number of young readers. Therefore, it attracts more than 500 publishing houses to compete for market share. But the resources in the field of children’s publishing is relatively poor. For example, lack of excellent original works, only a handful of best-selling authors, attach little importance to the cultivation of original newcomers, and lack of professional children’s books editors. These disadvantages lead to the market in short supply situation, which is the main reason of duplicate publication. This topic will discover the harmfulness and causes of duplicate publication in the field of children’s literature book market through the analysis of the typical duplicate publication phenomenon in this field, and also put forward coping strategies.This paper consists of six modules. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the research background, purpose and significance of the study, and also the research methods. The second part is the analysis of the performance characteristics of the phenomenon of duplicate publication of children’s literature in China, which mainly chooses the angles of best-selling books and authors. The third part is the analysis of the harmfulness of the repeated publication of children’s literature in our country, which including four angles of management, publishing house, writers and readers. The fourth part is the analysis of the causes of the phenomenon of duplicate publication of children’s literature in China through three aspects of children’s literature book market, publishers and authors. The fifth part puts forward some countermeasures for the phenomenon of duplicate publication of the children’s literature in our country. The last part is the conclusion of this topic.
