The publishing industry is the important part of the cultural industry, furthermore, the development of that plays a significant role in the development of social progress. As the core of Mongolian culture, the Mongolian publishing industry is of great significance to the development of Mongolian culture and the cultural heritage. With the deepening of reform and opening-up policy and the development of market economy, the Mongolian publishing industry is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. This paper is focused on the Mongolian publishing industry in the period of market economy, which summarizes the changes and development of Mongolian publishing industry at different stages of the market economy.This paper consists of three parts:introduction, main body and conclusion. The introduction part introduces the research object, the purpose and significance of the research, current situation, research contents and research methods. The paper mainly studies the Mongolian publishing industry at three different stages of the market economy, including the exploration period (1992-2001), the accelerating period (2002-2009) and the in-depth period (2010-2015). The paper mainly analyzes the regularity and development trend of the Mongolian books editing, printing and publishing segments. At last, the conclusion part summarizes the research results and the problems which have not been solved.
