Classification And Description Of Big Data In Digital Library

The rapid development of the information technology heralds the advent of the era of the Big Data, which is not only a challenge but also rare opportunities for the development of the current Digital Library. However due to the lack of in-depth study of the two basic problems which what kind of data the Digital Library has and what characteristics these kinds of Big Data have, the further research and practice of Big Data in the field of the Digital Library have been delayed in a certain extent, so this paper discussed and studied the classification and description of Big Data in the field of Digital Library. Firstly, this paper summarized nearly a hundred kinds of complex Digital Library data as 17 kinds of Big Data by using scientific and reasonable classification criteria, and described 17 kinds of Big Data from several key aspects.Then this paper discussed and researched 17 kinds of Digital Library Big Data of the differences and relationships. Finally, this paper expects that these work could be helpful for the research and application of the Big Data in the field of Digital Library in the future.
