The modern development of hospital management is promoted by the application of computer network technology. More and more computer network technologies are applied to the modern business and management process in hopitals, such as charge system, clinical information, electronic medical records, drug materials management, medical insurance reimbursement and so on, with the development of the computer technology. Hospital information construction is now one of important signs of realizing hospital modernization management and the key to measuring the level of hospital management, due to the increasing demand of computer technology in hospital management.The existing Hospital Information System(HIS), however, has encountered a bottleneck in drug management. It’s beause the requirement of the drug administration is becoming higher and higher on the one hand, especially in management of the whole process when the drug is circulating in the hospital and supervision of drug use in medical safety control, quality control and other aspects. On the other hand, in the HIS, the accounting and inventory management of drugs is still based on the mode of charge account, which leading to the increasingly prominent conflicts while promoting the modernization of the management. Therefore, this paper decided to explore and research in drug management, designing a drug administration system to meet the existing requirements.Through the discussion, visit, tracking, this paper accomplish the analysis of system requirement, combined with the existing drug management process, HIS and the current management requirements of pharmacy department and administrative department in the Heze Municiple Hospital. Second, using UML tools to complete the role modeling, database modeling. In design and implementation of medicine management system, using Oracle10 g as a back-end database development platforms, using PowerBuilder9.0 software development tools for system development tools. Moreover, this study is also performing the system test according to the test plan at all levels made in the development phase.The system is divided into seven modules throughout the overall framework. There is the drug information maintenance subsystem, including the basis of drug information maintenance and price information maintenance. Order management module is achieved functions of the production and approval process management. The outcoming and incoming management module includes inventory management submodule at all levels and allocation of inventory submodule, and the Inventory management module includes inventory supply maintenance submodule, drug inventory submodule and drug account monthly submodule. Medication management module is to control the prescription for outpatient, inpatient and surgery. Moreover, there are query module and system management module. On this basis, the data flow system focused on the batch management of drugs in hospital and tracking the whole process is established, to achieve the full development of the hospital medicine management system.In this study, through the development and application of the medicine management system in the Heze Municiple Hospital, the hospital drug management process is more clear and accurate, which improving the level of hospital drug management and realizing the modernization of hospital management.
