Design And Development Of Taian Central Hospital Ultrasound Appointment System

Ultrasonic Department of hospitals has always been a department with a high turnover of patients who often take a very long time in registering. What’s worse, the patients are for the most part pregnant women or children. In order to save time in queuing for registering, they can make appointments to achieve Ultrasound examination registration. The traditional ways by telephone booking and appointment can realize preliminary ultrasound appointment, however, once patient’s quantity is very big, those traditional appointment ways lack unified reservation information management, which may easily cause medical disputes due to the disorder of registering information. And it also brings a very bad experience of medical treatment to patients.Under this background, this paper designed and developed an ultrasonography appointment system based on Net Framework of Tai’an Central Hospital, the purpose of which is to achieve open through a computerized intelligent appointment registry, transparent unified management for the appointment information. It can effectively improve the work efficiency of relevant outpatient departments and provide better services to patients. The research appointment system mainly consists of following three parts:1. Ultrasound examination application form receiving module, this module automatically receive electronic check requisitions from the hospital HIS system, when patient head for the front desk of the waiting area for checking in, nurse only need to brush patient’s visit card or scan the barcode of patient records, patients’ check application information can be extracted;2. Intelligent arranging sorting, data edit module, this module according to the patients’ check application information, automatically calculate patients’ line number, distribute examination room and generat waiting queue;3. Waiting queue display, electronic voice call module. This module will display patients’ queuing situation on the big screen of the waiting area, and provide electronic voice call patients entered the examination room features.With the practical demands this paper, developed an ultrasound examination reservation system which truly can be applied to hospitals and be put into use. It can solve practical problems which Ultrasound Department currently facing, and effectively save the patient registration time. At the same time, the open and transparent process of the queuing, can effectively maintain order in the waiting area, so that medical disputes and conflicts can decline. Based on C/S Framework the ultrasound reservation system, can combine the computer with medical resources together, which will greatly improve the hospital ultrasound outpatient medical treatment efficiency and patient experience. And to a certain extent, it can effectively improve the hospital service levels and its overall competitiveness.
