Currently, line heating process of domestic shipbuilding enterprises generally rely on experienced technical staff to manually complete. With the development of digital shipbuilding technology and the popularization of modern shipbuilding mode, in terms of productivity, unit cost and processing quality, this processing method can not meet the requirements of lean shipbuilding, but also be a serious impediment to the interaction of internal production information system and sharing of resources.In response to these issues, lots of domestic research institutions and universities have launched research of line heating automatic molding robot and expert system. Now, the automatic molding robot and expert systems, which is applied to simple-shaped plate had been successfully developed. However, according to current research, there are still some unsolved problems:how to build a complete knowledge base, machining programs reasoning of complex plate-shaped broad and data exchange between expert systems and forming devices.The main work of the paper has been carring out for solving these three issues which had not been completely addressed yet, including:(1) Aiming at the problem of how to build efficient complete knowledge base, rough set theory is introduced to automatic acquising knowledge Knowledge. Different types of knowledge targeted to take a different way of expressing knowledge, make knowledge base storage and management more effictve. Finally, puts forward the concept of rules knowledge reliability to be solution of knowledge base rule’s completeness and effectiveness. (2) Aiming at the problem of how to set up a rapid and reliable reasoning mechanism, we adopt the fusion reasoning mechanism,based on case-based reasoning and rule reasoning, greatly improve the utilization rate of historical processing case, Effectively compress reasoning time of expert system, powerfully guarantee effectiveness of proposed reasoning scheme.(3) Aiming at data interaction problem of different systems from intelligent line heating forming robot, the coordinate system of internal system unified on the basis of the coordinate system of motion control system, its data structure of process reasoning scheme can directly understand and execute by motion control system, meanwhile the motion control system dynamic display real-time parameter changes of process reasoning scheme. After the final processing scheme is completed, it will be fed back into the expert system for storage and learning.In this paper, the main research work has been adopted to intelligent robot line heating expert system. At present, the system has a number of field tests from Longxue shipbuilding base in Guangzhou. The test results show that the performance of expert system and the effectiveness of the process reasoning scheme can satisfy the requirements of actual processing, the final forming effect of process reasoning scheme is recognised by technical personnel present. In the follow-up work, it’s important to improve the reasoning performance of expert system, the human-computer interaction ability and the ability of handling the data coupling between different systems, to strive for applicating into the actual production early, and to promote domestic shipbuilding enterprises.
