With the development and maturity of Internet Technology, the Instant Message Program is favored and admired by people and became the main approach to communicate with each other in daily life and work through its characteristics of convenience, quickness, simplicity as well as less cost. However, on Internet, there exists some security risk, such as information interception, viral transmission and cybercrime. As a result, how to conduct the encipherment protection during the process of data transmission had become the main direction of research. Based on the analysis of encryption algorithm and instant message technology, the dissertation developed a set of instant system on the basis of RSA aiming to solve the problem of encipherment protection on the process of information transmission.Encryption technology is an important means to protect information security. Firstly, on the basis of introducing the rudimentary knowledge of encryption algorithm, the paper chose RSA algorithm as the encryption means for the instant message technology of this research, which is an algorithm applying both digital cryptography and digital signature at the same time. RSA algorithm is easy to understand and handle, which has been come up with for more than 20 years and experienced countless attack and challenge. For now, it has been accepted by most of people and turned to be one of the best encryption algorithms. Secondly, the communications between client and servers, client and client can be realized through socket technology. The system adopted the object-oriented idea and selected C# as programming language. Besides, the delivery and transmission of information and documents can be carried out in the form of alertdialog.The whole design is a combination of RSA algorithm and the Socket technology, and puts forward a set of protection of client and server, the client and the client a set of security encryption scheme based on RSA algorithm, realized has the news editor and the RSA encryption to decrypt instant messaging software. The final computational results and testing demonstrate that the software can deal with the problem of information encryption during communication process.
