With the popularity of mobile Internet, the business applications based on the mobileInternet increase comprehensively. The instant communication software becomes people'sfavorite due to its flexibility and low price, it makes human communication becomes moreconvenient. How to guarantee the people use the mobile instant communication softwarefor safety communication has become more and more pressing. And we must put forward aset of unified security mechanism to resolve the incompatibilities between each protocol ofinstant communication.The instant communication data is protected by encryption algorithm to provide dataconfidentiality which can make data being not readable. The instant communication data isprotected by identity authentication mechanism which can ensure that the data istransmited in the safety channel. It provides digital abstract to validate the data will bealtered and forged in the process of transmission. Netscape Communication SSL securitymechanism can provide these features, it provides security protection for transmission onthe instant communication data.The first chapter of this thesis first introduces the security flaws of mobile Internetinstant messaging, presents the design of a kind of transmission security mechanisms forinstant communication data, its purpose is to resolve the attack problems; The secondchapter analysis the flaw of instant communication protocol combining the XMPP protocol.It further explains the importance of data security problems and puts forward relevantsolutions. In the third chapter, it analysis various of data transmission security mechanismbased on SSL protocol and discusses the security service. It puts forward the main train ofthought to resolve instant communication safety defects based on SSL protocol; The fourthchapter introduces the position of SSL protocol in TCP/IP system. In addition it introducesthe service, protocol format and working principle protocols provided by each layer of SSLsystem; The fifth chapter gives specific solutions in the instant communication due to datasecurity needs, detailes solutions for the realization of the principle, and designs flow chart according to the principle of realization of each module. The sixth chapter provides theconcrete realization of the program according to the design strategy, it completes theoverall implementation of security mechanism on a mobile Internet instant messagingprotocol; The seventh chapter summarizes and prospects.
