The Internet is moving from the “address-centric” to the “content-centric”. The trend of content-centric makes users to pay more attention to the speed and quality of getting content. Providing users with high-quality QoS guarantee is the core of the future of network. In response to the content-centric, some methods based on the existing TCP/IP network architecture increase the complexity of the network with numerous patches. Content-Centric Networking is a model of the future network which makes content the center of network. CCN designs a new architecture with the revolution way to adapt the content-centric trend better. However, the current research of CCN focuses on the issues such as naming and forwarding of content, while the way to guarantee QoS in CCN is lack of researching. In order to achieve the goal which the basic transmission capacity of CCN can provide high-quality support for the distribution of content, this paper creates an Adapting Content Pipeline(ACP) relying on the National Natural Science Foundation project “Research on C haracteristic and Functional Abstraction of the Network- independent Content”. According to the study on the insufficiency of the traditional network architecture on QoS guarantee, this paper proposes a new delivery mechanis m adapting CCN, which embeds the traditional QoS requirements and content characteristics in the upper layer to the basic transmission capacity in the underlying layer. In this way, this paper creates the new transmission structure——ACP, which can realize high-quality QoS guarantee.Based on the comparison of the traditional TCP/IP network architecture and CCN, this paper analyses the QoS guarantee in detail, and describes the idea and concept of the Adapting Content Pipeline. According to the idea, this paper carries out the following work:1. This paper puts forward a content-aware QoS guarantee mechanism in CCN(CAQ-CCN). The mechanism determines the scheduling order of different contents by classifying and distinguishing the contents, and by judging the priority probability based on the heat values of the contents. The mechanism can adjust the transmission queue dynamically according to the network environment and realizes the analysis of ACP to the content characteristic. The simulation results show that in the case of 20% high priority content flow ratio, the average throughout improves about 35% compared to CCN transmission mechanism.2. This paper puts forward a content common characteristics-based cross-layer mapping algorithm in CCN(CCM-CCN). The algorithm uses a QoS mapping matrix to describe several QoS mapping regression lines, and realizes the mapping between the QoS parameters and the content characteristic in underlying layer by the multiple linear regression analysis, which adds the high-quality QoS guarantee to the basic transmission capacity. The analysis results show that the scheme can realize the mapping between the QoS parameters and the content characteristic and can estimate the needed QoS parameters according to the content characteristic. In this way, ACP realizes the essential support for the QoS guarantee.3. This paper designs the verification scheme of ACP, which realizes the content aware ness, priority scheduling and cross- layer mapping. Through the comparison of the forwarding mechanism between ACP and the existing network, the feasibility and advantage of ACP is proved.
