In order to promote the application and development of visualizing of information retrieval, to meet the growing need in information of the users, to improve the users’ ability of understanding and acquiring information, it needs to deeply research the problem that appears in document retrieval visualization. And it can bring convenient to interact with user and information in some deeper way. Also improve the ability of understanding and making strategic decisions for complex system.This paper firstly introduces the background and significance of research, analysis of the current stage of information visualization model, information visualization mapping technology, information visualization display technology and visual retrieval, document retrieval model theory. And then put forward a new kind of co citation matrix construction method, through social networks algorithm, we realized document retrieval visualization, which based on social network analysis. According to the shortcomings in the visualization, this paper proposes a adjustable weighted measuring method of node importance and a cooperation algorithm which based on the Salton. The completion of the ideal document co citation analysis, CO visualization, which is convenient for user to understand and master the document information.
