The development of new model equipments of the artillery arouses new battle mode, and request of the measure of aim in the end of shooting range recent years. With low cost and power consumption, and easy disposal, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is widely used in military and civil areas, and has high applied worth in the measure of aim in the end of shooting range. For the aim location in the end of shooting range require strict precision and realtime, an effective and fast location algorithm is urgent to realize in WSN.Aiming at the requirement, the dissertation study the correlative technique of sound source location based on WSN. The main work is as follows:The technique and method of the sound signal collection are deeply researched.Based on the collected data, the audio characters of sound source in the end of shooting range are analyzed and the correlative factors which impact the signal collection are discussed. Considering the requirement of aim location, the dynamic self-adapted threshold is decided. With the threshold, the characteristics of audio signal are extracted and used to solve the problem of high cost in resource of the node in WSN. The current algorithms of single sound source location are analyzed and compared. Based on the algorithm of time difference of arrival (TDOA), a new single sound source location algorithm adapted to WSN is presented. Combining the trilateration and introducing angular weight function and weight polygon, the algorithm improves precision and stability. Angular weight function and weight polygon are imported. The precision and stability of the algorithm are improved.On the requirement of mul-sound source location, aiming at the problem of high complexity of current algorithm which are not suitable for the nodes of WSN, a predigested method to dispose mul-sound source information is studied, which decreases the algorithmic complexity. Then the results are dealt with combinatorial trilateration, the method improve the precision of location. Sound source location software is designed and performed. Integrating software and hardware platform, the experimental circumstance is established. Implementing the experiments on extracting signal and locating algorithm, the experimental results and errors are analyzed and the effectiveness of algorithms is validated. Because of the time and outlay factors, the system is not executed in the shooting range. As future work, the experiment and improvement in the practical circumstance will be performed.
