Our DX200 medium wave transmitter, which has high efficiency, satisfactory index, covering wide range and good loudness, runs stably and costs low maintenance. In the long running time, it’s well recognized by relevant experts and audience friends. The power system is an important part of the transmitter. In order to make the transmitter run stably, we must ensure the stability of the transmitter power in the first place. If the original DX200 medium wave transmitter goes wrong, we can rely only on the LED display board which judges faults probly, without the ability of enmergency treatment and data monitoring. What we have to do to ensure that the transmitter power supply system would work normally is the technical renovation of the stable power supply, the automatic emergency processing for the typical faults as well as the acquisition, transmission and processing of the power supply data, etc. For the above aspects, we must create a function of effective monitoring control and a function of automatic emergency processing for the typical faults.This thesis mainly analyzes the whole power supply system’s structure, characteristics and working principles of the DX200 medium wave transmitter, and mainly expounds the transmitter power supply’s startup sequence and boot sequence. According to the working principles and status of the transmitter power supply system, the thesis, from two aspects of hardware and software, introduces the functions of the real-time monitoring and the automatic processing of relative qualitative faults. Hardware design includes transformers, rectifier circuits, filter circuits, voltage regulator circuits, feedback circuits, protective circuits, control circuit and display circuits. It mainly designs B+/B- switch circuit, alternating protective circuit of 220V and 380V, protective circuit of overvoltage, undervoltage and overcurrent as well as protective circuit to detect over-temperature and leakage. Also it improves discharge boards. Software, with corresponding PLC ladder diagram language, builds an automatic fault processing system. For which the whole system has simple structure, flexible configuration and easy operation. The automatic fault processing system PLC mainly completes the data detection of switch value, control volume and analog quantity. After the automatic processing, the recorded data is transmitted through the serial ports of RS232 or RS458 in PLC system to the upper computer which is an industrial control computer configured related function boards. By the upper computer we can intuitively see all the data and status of the system operation.
