With the rapid development of mobile Internet, mobile communication band width rate increase more and more, the mobile Internet users are no longer meet with the text, image transmission and other communication functions from the tr aditional simple mobile IM system. They are more likely to transfer high-definiti on pictures, voice, files and other rich text messages on mobile network. It is urge nt to design and implement a mobile IM system real accord with the features of the mobile Internet to meet with the growing demand of high quality network communication services. In order to fully grasp the development of China Mobil e IM system technology trends, judge the mobile application market, layout of the mobile application market, grasp the accumulation of social system of Internet users habits such as the use of valuable information, these features needed to b e done. At the company level also need to design and implement the communic ation module and the network value-added service module to improve the core competitiveness of the market of the IM system.According to the different needs of mobile Internet users and enterprise user s, based on the overall planning of mobile project management department, this project are decided. In this paper, the necessity of design and implementation o f the communication module and the network value-added service module in a mobile IM system are fully demonstrated. At the same time, the system function al requirements and non functional requirements are analyzed, the overall technic al scheme, the system architecture, function module, internal and external interfac e, database technology and other aspects are overall designed. The specific busin ess module of the system is designed and implemented in detail, the defects exist ing in this system are analyzed, and puts forward the improvement scheme. In th e implementation process, the system makes full use of the software engineering idea and object-oriented programming idea, and makes flexible use of the matur e software development framework, to ensure that the final system is easy to ma intain, easy to expand.The results of this study eventually transformed to design and implement the communication module and the network value-added service module based on I M system. In this project, multi terminal online at the same time, unified mess age center, discussion groups, high-definition picture transmission and multi modu le voice calls, location-based services are realized. The demand of ordinary users and enterprise users for basic communication services and Internet value-added s ervice are met well.
