In the today’s fast-growing Google Android operating system, it’s much like for smart phones. Coupled with that each run business extends wireless transmission technology energetically, from WLAN to WIFI, from 3G to 4G, wireless communication technology has been making people’s life rich and diverse. It also makes the traditional catering industry have to change in such a large environment, and benefit from it. Through to the traditional ordering pattern research, learning:there are some about the order of the systems, but there are some problems in these systems more or less. Such as only ordering a meal in a specific restaurant, can only with the specified equipment, customers can’t feedback information, restaurant can only behind closed doors to development, etc.After comprehensive study of these problems, determine to design and implement the project of the wireless ordering system based on Android. This paper mainly introduced the background about the project and the development status of related content, the related theoretical knowledge of developing the wireless ordering system based on Android and the design of each stage. Which involved the main technical with MySQL, JDBC, the Android system development technology, etc. According to the development methods of software engineering, requirements analysis and modeling for the system, general profile design of the system, then a detailed analysis, design and implementation of each functional module. On the requirement analysis side, it uses the activity diagram to analysis the requirement of the system, uses use case diagram shows the modeling of the system from the participants, analysis the needs of database and uses E-R diagram and data flow diagram to model. On software design side, by using the system structure diagram, hierarchical structure, the function structure and the corresponding description has carried on the summary to system design; Through the use of a flow diagram, class diagram, the function of each module in detail design and implementation; Use the form structure of database design. The system will eventually achieve the client user registered login, search the restaurant, the restaurant menu management, customer order, submit orders and payment, and other functions, can realize the function of data is stored on the server database.According to the test results that the system can run normally, each interface interaction works well. This design has a low cost, high efficiency, good reliability, compact structure, function better, etc., with a certain sense of value and promotion of significance. For dinner, they can get food and feel convenient. For the restaurant, this system cannot only save hardware costs, enhance service and management of the restaurant, but also attract the dinners ordering autonomously. So it improves the brand image and competitiveness in the food sector. In a sense, it extended service groups.
