The gantry robot used for machine tool feeding and discharging is also called rectangular robot, which is the most used and the important guarantee for producing in bulk by right of low cost and simple configuration. The issues have been settled that the traditional feeding and discharging technology’s low efficiency, poor product stability and so on due to the invention of the gantry robot used for machine tool feeding and discharging, which is widely applied to the processing of metal cutting, stamping, forging and other CNC machines. It is inevitable that the gantry robot used for machine tool feeding and discharging will substitute the traditional artificial or special machine feeding and discharging method and will be one of the most crucial method in feeding and discharging.The study of the robot for used machine tool feeding and discharging technology is an important foundation for its industrial application. Combining the general design concepts with the characteristic of the gantry robot used for machine tool feeding and discharging, based on the comparative analysis of different structures and parameters of the robot, the topic analysis the structure of 20kg transporting capacity gantry robot, unifies the structure and parameters, and makes three-dimensional (3D) module for gantry robot used for machine tool feeding and discharging applying Solidworks software.The static force analysis and module analysis of gantry robot was carried out using Solidworks Simulation. The static force analysis expresses that the rigidity and strength for gantry robot conforms to the requirements. And the module analysis shows that there isn’t vibration of gantry robot during normal operation. With the result of static force and module analysis, the paper also raises the weak in design for the facilities and provides the corresponding measurements. The strength and stiffness of the improved robots has a significant increase.
