Vehicular ad hoc network (VANETs), as a foundation for intelligent transportation system, is designed for communication between vehicles and self-organizing network, it creatively applied to the wireless network communication between vehicles, realized in network information platform for all vehicle status information for effective management and provides integrated services capabilities.Through the vehicle and the vehicle, vehicle and road infrastructure to communicate with each other to achieve periodically driving message, peripheral entertainment information and Internet access and other services.However, with the development of vehicle ad-hoc network, and its applications, the importance of information security and user privacy protection problem is critical, no guarantee with security and privacy, malicious adversary will tracking their interested vehicle’s position to attack or abuse the vehicle movement mode.Vehicular ad-hoc network protocol, therefore, must protect user’s privacy and information is not tampered with the attacker.In vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET), the safety of data communication need to protect by the services and applications, in order to improve the driving safety and comfort, some information related to traffic will be periodic broadcast and share to the driver, if the user’s identity and information no guarantee of privacy and security, the attacker will track by collecting and analyzing traffic information which they are interested in vehicles, as a result, the anonymous message authentication is an indispensable requirement in VANET.On the other hand, when the vehicles involved in disputes, certificate authority to restore the true identity of the vehicle.To solve this problem, On the basis of traditional solutions, a New Chameleon Hashing of Secure and Privacy-Preserving Vehicular Communications is proposed the traditional scheme based on elliptic curve.In addition, in order to ensure the status of privacy protection of vehicle, anonymous certificate and for collective signatures are two widely used methods, but the two methods exist many drawbacks which affects its application efficiency. To overcome the problem of the above, this paper proposes a new signature based on the proof of the privacy protection protocol, and prove that this scheme can guarantee the traditional privacy protection and prove is safe under the random oracle model, in addition, this scheme has the following advantages:short signature length, low computational cost.
