Distributed microphone arrays are composed of multiple microphone arrays and each array can process the received signal independently. Compared with the microphone array, distributed microphone arrays are not bound of formation, due to the participation of multiple arrays, distributed microphone arrays are good in performance. Under complex acoustic, sound source localization using distributed microphone arrays can improve the positioning performance when the sound is moving. In recent years, sound source localization using distributed microphone arrays have become the research focus.Based on the distributed microphone arrays, this paper introduces some knowledge about distributed microphone arrays and sound source localization. According to the characteristics of the distributed microphone arrays, it introduces array nodes positioning method and time synchronization between arrays. It introduces the model of reverberation that is effects on sound source localization. This paper expounds some location method of traditional microphone array. Simulating experiment shows the advantages and disadvantages of them in different environment. On top of this, this paper does the sound source localization research in actual enclosed acoustic environment. In order to solve the organizational structure of the distributed arrays, the concept of graph combined with distributed arrays, this paper propose the moving sound source localization based on cluster implemented. The distributed arrays can be divided into several clusters, however all clusters will increase the complexity of the system. Then, this paper puts forward to choose the cluster based on Cramer-Rao bound. This method establish the Fish matrix about the distributed microphone arrays, the optimal cluster are obtained to finish the sound source localization according to the value of Cramer-Rao bound, then using maximum likelihood estimation for the distributed array location data fusion. Finally, the simulation experiment is performed, the results show that the method introduced in this paper, which can solve the large amount of calculation based on distributed arrays and can achieve better performance of sound source localization.
