It is necessary to make sure of good contact between high voltage grounding rod and electric wire during the electric maintenance operation, and transmit the detective data to the security guard. A high voltage grounding rod wireless detection module based on ZigBee and sensor is designed in this paper, automatic detection and real-time transmission of the connection information are realized. Two optimization algorithms are proposed for the theoretical study of the path selection of ZigBee ad hoc networks, when the long distance transmission of detection data is needed. The main contents are listed as follows:(1)A high voltage grounding rod wireless detection module based on ZigBee technology is designed and implemented in this paper, based on wireless sensor network technology, ZigBee technology, ultrasonic sensing technology and embedded software technology. The hardware and software of the module are designed and implemented on the basis of general design scheme, and the debugging of the module is completed, confirm that the module is efficient.(2)Two kinds of algorithms which defined in the ZigBee routing layer, Cluster-Tree algorithm and AODVjr algorithm, are analyzed and the problems of them are pointed out. For instance, the low transmission efficiency of Cluster-Tree and the high energy consumption of AODVjr route discovery, and both of them not take the node energy into consideration.Two kinds of optimization algorithms based on greedy forwarding algorithm, Greedy-R algorithm and Greedy-I algorithm, are proposed to solve the problem above. What’s more, the optimization of transmission path selection and the extension of the network lifetime are achieved.(3)Greedy-R and Greedy-Ⅰ algorithm are demonstrated that improved in delivery rate, end to end delay and average consumption compared to greedy forwarding algorithm and greedy perimeter stateless routing algorithm using the Network Simulator version 2 software.
