Numerous studies have shown that, the relay transmission technology with avirtual antenna array be introduced into the wireless sensor networks will achieveadditional diversity gain, while it can make the resources (channel, energy) be sharingbetween the cooperative nodes, thereby it provides a way for us to save the energy ofthe nodes, prolong the network lifetime and enlarge the coverage of the network. Alsothe essence of the multi-hop transmission of the wireless sensor is relay transmissiontechnology, so the relay transmission combines with the wireless sensor networks havecertain advantages and feasibility. Relay is as a special resource of the relaytransmission system, the research of resource allocation for its selection algorithm is themost important one of the traditional relay transmission system. At the same time, therelay selection algorithm can combine with the routing protocols of wireless sensornetworks.Therefore, under the reviews on the existing resource management technology ofthe wireless sensor networks that based on the relay transmission, this paper mainlyinvestigated the relay selection algorithm and corresponding simulation platform of thesystem. Concrete is: the research is based on the motion models of wireless sensornetworks, using convex optimization as the mathematical tool, using Matlab and NS2asthe simulation tool and relay selection as the research object, focusing on the relayselection algorithm and simulation platform.The main work of this paper is as follows,(1) The researches of the relay selection, routing protocol and others in thewireless sensor network based on relay transmission are described. On the basic ofmulti-hop transmission in the wireless sensor networks to increase diversity technologycan improve the system performance of ergodic capacity and increase the connectivityof the networks, etc.(2) Based on the different motion models of relay nodes, we propose relay nodeslayout scheme according different power allocation, and the relay layout scheme appliesto the relay selection can solve the problem of network lifetime and power control in thewireless sensor networks.(3) The greed of relay selection algorithm combines with vehicle wireless sensornetworks, and we make the corresponding studies on the NS2simulation platform. The research results show that greed relay selection algorithm can improve the accessperformance of the relay node in the network effectively, and it can improve theconnectivity of network, the conclusions has a value of real significance to guide andbuild vehicle wireless sensor networks.
