The identification of poor college students is an important part of College Students’work. How to effectively carry out the work is closely related to the interests of the poor students in our country. The current method to identify poor students is more difficult to operate due to the particularity of the poor students identification, therefore the improvement in carrying out the relavant work is in great need.In this paper, the author uses the data mining technology, analyzing and generating of the model of poor students identification. Thus a system is developed based on the design and implementation of a poor students identification. Firstly, analyzing the domestic and foreign current situation of poor college students work, then, algorithm of decision tree, in the meantime the author generates the complete decision tree and rules by conducting evaluation data by using the C4.5. Based on this, the decision tree algorithm is applied to the evaluation of students work.Pre-processingthe data. next, mine the needed data frome the training data, then evaluate the tested data, the results were compared, selected from the ideal model in the. Finally, according to the poor students identification requirements, design and implementation of identification system with identification of poor students, students basic information management and the card data management function of the poor students. The design and realization of the poor students identification system have met the practical requirements.the system can provide an efficient and objective software platform for the identification of poor college students work.
