With the rapid development of social economy in modern China, the area of highway, high speed railway and other traffic arteries have become an important scene of the quality of the user experience network. The rapid development of the highway and the high speed railway brings the convenience to the people’s daily travel, and also puts forward higher requirements on the quality of the mobile communication network.This thesis sets out from the actual application of the existing traffic trunk lines in Chizhou, mainly to solve the GSM/LTE network planning and site coverage optimization problem, with the Doppler frequency shift and the radio propagation model of link budget theory, to calculate the two adjacent station area necessary overlap area length according to the speed, to determine the two station spacing. On the basis of this, it is suggested that the network coverage scheme for Chizhou traffic trunk lines is proposed, and the design work of the specific coverage scheme based on the traffic routes in Chizhou is given. Innovation lies in Chizhou many mountains and rivers, wetlands and other terrain, overcome the problem location optimization of the network structure. One is the use of flexible construction model, such as pole RRU pull away, hanging bridge, shared by other operators, tunnel wall lamp tower antenna; two is the use of multi cell joint technology, remote construction of super base station, improve the handover and overcome the frequency offset, high overlapping effect. According to the comparision of key indicators before and after the implementation of the program, it can be seen that the 2/4G network coverage effect of the traffic arteries in Chizhou is effectively improved, key indicators such as network access, network disconnection and so on are good, and the dual purpose of enhancing users’ perception and reducing the cost is realized. This thesis has some guiding significance for the construction of the network and the networkoptimization of the similar traffic trunk cover scene.
