In the speaker’s production process, the pure tone detection is the first step of production quality test. Currently pure tone detection for electro-acoustic industry is mainly by the human listening which is subjective. It is not only affected by work environment but also status and experience of the staff. And long-term listening can bring harm to human auditory nerve. Therefore looking for an automated detection method becomes an important research topic in the current electro-acoustic industry.At present, speaker’s fault automatic detection system uses the sweep device to motive speaker and bring the response of sound signal to computer which is collected by a microphone and capture card. With the response signal processing by time-frequency transform, it makes time-frequency transform fault feature extraction and recognition by the time-frequency diagram. This method has a good judgment of whether the speaker is faulty in the anechoic chamber environment. However, this method is not accurate in workshop because of it’s easy to be affected by noise and at the same time it is not able to recognize speaker fault type. Therefore, how to achieve the detection and classification on the condition of industrial workshop noise becomes the focus of this study.This paper provides a new detection and classification method for speakers based on vibration displacement which is not only avoid industrial field environment noise but also recognize speaker fault type. First vision sensor is used to collect the image of speaker and recognize the recognition hood leak failure. Second the loudspeaker with rubbing coil faulty will be recognized by collecting speaker’s multi-point static height information. Finally the speaker with bottoming or small sound faulty will be recognized by collecting vibration displacement. Experiments prove that this method has a very good accuracy at four kinds of speaker faults detection and classification.The research results include:(1) The system based on laser sensor and mobile platform to realize the loudspeaker’s geometry detection and three-dimensional point cloud data acquisition.(2) Based on the visual guidance, a fast and accurate method of positioning a measuring point is provided.(3) Proposes a speakers’ fault detection and classification method based on the vibration displacement.(4) It completes the system Integration of hardware structures and software modules.(5) This paper has made modal analysis and harmonic analysis by the ANSYS.
