With the continuous development of Mobile Internet services and the LTE technology becoming mature gradually, LTE has been commercially available worldwide. Telecommunications service has developed from narrowband voice-based services to voice, data and video and other multimedia broadband business direction. In recent years, the emergence of the Internet, big data and cloud computing as the representative of a new generation information and communication technology, making the entire mobile communications industry presents an unprecedented pace of innovation and changing deeply. Due to improving of network speed and generating of new technology and service, it caused a surge in network traffic. High bandwidth communications became urgent needs of the people. Only breaking through bandwidth "bottleneck" can make whole network play a more effective role,and effectively promoting the development of the business.Currently the majority of LTE eNodeB carried by the PTN,which are high cost and complex network deployment. In this thesis we discuss a new carrying way or carrying with PTN. In the guaranteed bandwidth and the communication quality of the premise, it can reduce the cost of construction,and testing the possibility of carrying by GPON. Because of the characteristic of the LTE wide coverage and high bandwidth, LTE put forward higher requirements on carrying network. With its low cost of construction and operation maintenance,and the advantages of easy to upgrade, PON technology has received the widespread attention.This thesis first embark from the research background, introduce the present situation of PON technology, analysis GPON principle and key technology, and compare of EPON and GPON technology. Then according to the current network situation, a small scale of GPON carrying LTE was tested, and compare two carrying methods between PTN and PON. According to the obtained data, it consider the advantages and disadvantages of GPON and found a suitable carrying project,that is the GPON technology can be used as supplement of the LTE carrying network technology, which is used in PTN transport resources temporarily not ready. Meanwhile, in the actual test, we found that when the network is congested, low-priority traffic is often subject to great influence, network delay significantly improved. In order to improve this situation, the thesis also proposes an improved dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm. The GPON DBA algorithm which is the most representative algorithm currently has been improved, then use OPNET software to establish a system simulation model and make simulation. From the simulation results, the improved algorithm effectively reduces the transmission delay, and service transmission delay can meet the requirements of the ITU-T.
