With the rapid development of computer technology and database technology, database size is growing explosively, thus speeding up the development of data mining techniques. Data mining as a novel data analysis tools, has been widely used in various business and enterprise. However, few educational institutions are making use of it. Association rules mining is a very important research content in the field of data mining. This paper aim at vocational education enrollment information dada mining, main research contents are summarized as follow:(1) This paper firstly introduces and analyses data mining techniques in detail.(2) Then Apriori algorithm is described in detail, and next by setting minimum support, it is introduced how to use the algorithm to find all frequent item sets, and then by setting minimum confidence level, it is obtained that the association rules from the largest item sets which the confidence coefficient is larger than or equal to minimum confidence, namely strong association rules. The algorithm can be applied to student assessment system.(3) At last, by preprocessing enrollment data, and converting them into data which is easy for us to dig out, and secondly using Apriori algorithm to dig out data to find association rules affecting students registration, and to analyze some valuable rules, so in terms of admissions and enrollment publicity programs, Enrollment office will be able to have more scientific decision-making.
