In today’s society, with the rapid development of information technology, in order to ensure the security of personal information, identity recognition attracts more and more attention. How to efficiently recognize the personal identity has become a major research topic in the academia. Due to the properties of unforgeability and security, the Biometric identification technology got the attention of people from all walks of life, in which the iris recognition technology has high accuracy, uniqueness, stability and can be collected, so it is known as the most reliable biometric technology. Therefore, developing an iris recognition system based on iris recognition technology for rapid identification of personal identity is very necessary. This paper focuses on the automatic iris acquisition and recognition system, and the main research work is as follows:1. This paper introduces the composition of the iris recognition system. The iris image processing algorithms of the iris recognition system were described in detail.2. Put forward the design ideas and specific methods of hardware implementation of the iris recognition system. Introduce the focus of image acquisition module, control module, drive module in turn, as well as the lighting system in detail.3. The specific process of software and program design method of the iris recognition system has carried on the detailed description.4. The detection objects were tested to verify the accuracy of the algorithm and the stability of the system. System can realize real-time acquisition and analysis of the iris image processing, and the results of the iris feature codes match iris database or not can be respectively show.
