As the development of the social economy and science, social identity is increasingly closed withdaily life. The traditional identification technology cannot have satisfied the requirements of modernsafety, so biological recognition technology which has high anti-counterfeiting and high stability getsmore and more high attention. The iris recognition technology as a biological recognition technologyalso has a branch of eager concern. Iris image collection is the root of the iris identification technology.This paper will design iris image acquisition system in accordance with the requirements of the irisrecognition system. The main contents of the paper are as follows:1. Design and build auto-focusing iris image acquisition device in accordance with therequirements of the iris recognition system. It consists of lighting device which has industrial camera,fixed-focus lens and infrared LED and3-D movement of platform which has ball screw structure, stepmotor. The Iris images taken from this equipment have clear texture and proper size, meanwhile, theycan be used to set standard iris database.2. Put forward the iris image quality evaluation method based on iris image inside and outsideround eccentric degrees, iris effective area and image clarity. And on this basis, auto-focus program isestablished; experiments show that this method can quickly and accurately capture the iris imageclearly and effectively.3. Introduce the common fake iris way and characteristics. Through the study of several otheriris living detection method, we put forward the iris of living test methods based on2D-Gaborfiltering. The experiments show that this method can quickly and accurately capture the iris imageclear and effective.4. Collect iris images using self-designed iris image acquisition, the size of the collection to aresolution of DPI iris image. According to the acquisition of the staff Numbers, sex, around eyes andshooting time we set standards of iris images-IDB NUAA whose images of768×576size and96×96DPI. The software which complete iris image acquisition with iris acquisition hardware iswritten based on the above algorithm.
