With the rapid development of information and communication technology, mobile multi-hop wireless networks have become an important means of wireless communication, and its importance gets more and more attention with its in-depth research. In recent years, the traffic of mobile multi-hop wireless network continues to grow exponentially, which leads to the astonishingly increasing energy consumption of network devices. The latest relevant statistics show that the communications industry consumes more than 20 billion KWh annually. The total power consumption in various industries ranks sustained upward trend. And more than half of the total energy consumption stems from the mobile multi-hop wireless network. Therefore, the study of how to greatly improve the transmission technology and theory of energy efficiency in the mobile multi-hop wireless network has become the frontier topic in the wireless communication field. However, the current study of mobile multi-hop wireless communication network environment has no uniform metrics standards of energy efficiency and energy efficiency model. In this thesis through analyzing energy efficiency model of wireless communication and considering the bit error rate characteristic in the process of transmission, we put forward the corresponding metrics standards of energy efficiency and energy efficiency model, and the energy-efficient routing algorithm.Firstly, through studying the basic model of energy consumption of wireless’ communication and taking into account of the bit error rate during transmission process, we propose the metrics standards and model of multi-hop wireless network energy efficiency in the static conditions. And then the routing algorithm of the energy efficiency is proposed. In recent years, research on routing algorithm of energy efficiency is an important means to resolve high energy consumption and low efficiency problem in the current wireless communication transmission. Many researchers have conducted a lot of depth and meticulous research, and put forward different metrics standards of energy efficiency. Many designed models, however, are considered not enough detailed. They consider only one aspect of the energy consumption costs, and do not fully consider the other aspects of costs such as the total distance and transmission delay of the route. At the same time ignore the actual situation of bit error rate during transmission. So it results in that the energy efficiency model does not better reflect the performance of the network and the effectiveness of the routing algorithm. The thesis carefully analysis the above factors and puts forward the green metric model of energy efficiency on base of bit error rate. And then we propose the energy efficiency routing algorithm on base of the energy-balanced consumption. The metrics model of energy efficiency proposed in this thesis can further reflect the real network performance and transmission efficiency of node. Furthermore, the energy efficient routing algorithm proposed in this thesis can significantly improve the energy efficiency performance of the network. And then we research the problems such as high energy consumption and low energy efficiency, which is caused by the dynamic and random change characteristics of the nodes and links in the mobile multi-hop wireless network. By analyzing the model of wireless communication channel capacity, the relationship between transmission rate and SNR, thus we can obtain the link of transmission rate and transmission power. Then considering the existence of bit error rate during the transmission, we propose the metrics model of green energy efficiency. Based on this model, combining with the actual situation of the transmission, through considering the transmission delay and energy consumption of the route, we proposed the energy-efficient routing algorithm based on minimum delay energy product. The simulation results show that the proposed energy efficiency metrics model can be more in line with dynamic situations, and better reflects network performance and the transmission efficiency of node. Furthermore, the energy efficient routing algorithm proposed in this thesis can obviously improve the energy efficiency performance of the network.
