Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) is a high-tech of Bio-imaging by reflecting the characteristics of hydrogen atoms in vivo. MRI technology has developed dramatically in recent decades, with the improvement in fields of superconducting technology, cryogenic technology, magnet technology, electronic technology, imaging technology and computer-related technologies. Now, it has been widely used in clinical, and become an indispensable method of medical imaging. As one of the most advanced diagnostic technology, the imaging quality of MRI strongly depends on the selected sequence. Therefore, a successful MRI system relies on the efficiency of the sequence development environment.With the development of magnetic resonance diagnostic techniques, and MRI’s advantages of no radiation, no injury, and providing any direction as well as the fault direction and high soft-tissue contrast, Philips and Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd started the development of user-friendly pulse sequence editor. Mature current situation of Computer technology also laid a foundation for the study of this system.Based on windows platform, and C++ language, this graphical pulse sequence editor provides users with efficient operating environment for sequence editing. In order to achieve the visualization of a scanned sequence, it transforms the way of editing the sequence by achieving the transition from the way of events table expression to the method of drawing the sequence timing diagram. The system mainly includes three parts:a graphical-based sequence rendering module, parameter module and an event table generation module. For sequence rendering module, system achieved the function of drawing the straight lines, circles, polylines, rectangles of the pulse sequence, and has a color, line type and other settings, modify, revoke, delete, move functions, so that we can modify the existing graphics when drawing the pulse sequence diagram. In order to facilitate the drawing graphics, the system also provides a background grid; In the parameter module, the system achieved a set of parameters and saved in text format; In the event list module for edited SE, FE sequence events lists are automatically generated and also saved in text.By studying realized the graphical editing of the pulse sequence, simplified the more complicated editing process of pulse sequence.
