Iraq war was one of the most significant issues that happened recent years and during this time the journalism developed rapidly. In the wartime, online media were widely used in the reporting and live TV came into a new phase. What is the most important is that women correspondents behaved bravely and professionally in the front. They enhanced their skill of reporting regardless of the old saying that women is far away from the war. This paper will make a research about this special group from three aspects. The author will make an introduction of the women correspondents in the Iraq war in the first part. One of this part is the behavior of all of them in the background of the embedded reporting and the live TV and the other is about three representatives who are very typical during this war. The reasons why they came the front and their behavior in the war will be analyzed specifically.Next, the author will summarize the influence that the women correspondents had both in the journalism and feminism. The journalism theory that news can not reflect the reality will be used to prove that the content and angle of news are diversified after they joined the war. As to the influence in the feminism, the author will put the emphasis on their sense of existence in journalism. They played an important role for the balance of the male and female ratio in the news industry and the society has an new impression of them. And the last part of this paper will make an evaluation of this group in the position of the author.
