This paper is about the Yb-doped double-clad Fiber laser. We analyses the steady-state rate equation by using MATLAB software and design a quartz end cap structure which is sliced with fiber by CO2 fusion splicer. The experimental results show that quartz end cap structure can reduce the damage threshold, protect the fiber end face effectively. We build an ytterbium-doped double-clad fiber laser whose center wavelength is 1080 nm and pumped by LD. We use fiber Bragg gratings consists the resonant cavities. Other devices including Yb-doped double-clad fiber, beam splitter, cladding power stripper and efficient cooling device structures.We obtain the maximum output power is 123 W, the slope efficiency is 62%, the central wavelength is 1080 nm.
