A Study On Forming Mechanism Of Cyberspace Collective Behavior

After experiencing "Hangzhou drag racing case", "Qianhuiyun’s case", "Deng Yujiao’s case" and other conflicts, The Public opinion in the cyberspace began to set effects on more fields.As a mobilize resources,the internet plays a more and more important role in collective event of cyber space.In this paper,the author consider the online collective event as the object of study,then set up an coding schedule.In the coding schedule,the author build 81 variable quantities of 7 aspect in an online collective event.After researching on 1241 hot spots of public opinion,the author select 85 events which attracts thousands net citizen engaged in as the sample.Three causes would lead an online collective event,these are the event quality,media quality and mobilize quality.Specifically,twelve factors would lead to collective behavior.Those are cause,event direction,the attitude and channel through of response,the media and content of initial published news,nonparticipant and interaction of media,anticipate demand,public opinion,opinion leader and the structure of society.Through composting in several ways,these factors would promote an online collective event.At the end of this paper,the author reach a conclusion that the mobilize quality of an event plays a critical role in collective behavior of cyberspace,the net citizen prefer trace after some information of mobilize quality.When an event refers to citizen’s living condition,it’s becoming easier to generate an online collective event.Traditional media’s participant in an online event would shape the collective behavior of cyberspace.At last,when journalist,liberal intellectual or witness get involved into an ordinary event,it would probably turn to an collective event.government administrator should build up an effective mechanism to monitor public opinion,cultivate public opinion leaders,response to the critical opinion in time, shift the focus of the conflict at a proper time, assess the communication result after the event.Through a series of preventive strategies, the administrator can run a steady-going society.
