In recent years, more and more countries widespread concern and attention in the Internet of Things because of it can widely and universally connect a material to another material. In the case of WSN, it contains three functions: data acquisition, data transmitting and data processing, it’s a highly integrated intelligent network system. The industry is often considered to be of Things "nerve endings". All believe that its development will bring a huge influence to people’s daily life.With the development of science and technology, directional sensor networks are represented by the video sensor and the image sensor. Not only for simple data information, is more for multimedia information perception. As a hot research area, there are many challenges in directional sensor networks before it is used. The most typical problem is the coverage of directional sensor networks. Traditional algorithms have their own advantages, but also some shortcomings. In this paper, virtual force method and 3D vertebral perception model for directional sensor networks will be adopted. The main content and the specific results of this paper are given as follows:1. In this article, the basic and related theory about directional sensor network will be described, including the composition structure and the structure and characteristics of the sensor node. It gives a detailed analysis of the inadequacies about deployment problem, the classification of perception model classification, coverage performance and coverage control algorithm. Then model of sensor networks node and coverage control algorithm are introduced in detail. Node sensing model is divided into 2D perception model and 3D perception model. People usually use randomly fan perceptual model in two dimensional. But random deployment is inefficient. The most common model of 3D perception is perception model based on 3D vertebra, which can be covered on the 3D space, but it needs be improved because of its low accuracy and coverage.2. The coverage algorithm to sensor network based on virtual force is studied. The basic principle of sensor networks to virtual force algorithm is to discrete target area. Through analysis the gravitational and repulsion analysis between two sensor nodes like physics, determining the magnitude and direction of the forced nodes, compute their moving distance by using mathematics probability model. After iteration, the locations of sensor nodes are optimized. So the node distribution in target area is more uniform, so as to enhance the target area coverage.3. A 3D vertebral body based on directional sensing model is adopted. The 3D problem is decomposed into vertical plane and horizontal plane. We can use a four-tuple to find geometric relationship among them in horizontal plane. Determine the condition of target points, and then calculate its coverage. Simulate the three coverage rate curve based on elliptic, based on cone, based on four pyramid. Experiments show that the 3D perception model based on the four pyramid owns the maximum coverage. Smooth scene projection area can be covered satisfactorily and can be used to general 3D simple interior scene.
