The attitude and orbit control subsystem(AOCS) of satellite is a critical system to the satellite’s success, due to which the research on issues related to ground testing of AOCS is often throughout the entire cycle of satellite development. In order to better adapt to the changing needs of the new generation of AOCS satellite in ground testing and take advantages of the existing test equipment, a software system, which is a sophisticated system combines many functions such as data acquisition, computer communication, real-time control, post analysis and so on, was developed for the ground test equipment of satellite AOCS. The main job of this paper includes:1. This paper first investigates relevant information about ground test of satellite AOCS includes test purposes and tasks, main test content, test mode, components and software of AOCS ground test system. After a detailed study on the requirements of existing AOCS ground test system, the functional requirements and overall design objectives of software system of AOCS ground test system(SSAOCSGTS) are confirmed, and based on which an overall design scheme of the system, that describes the composition and functional modules of SSAOCSGTS, is presented.2. This paper introduces the detail design of data acquisition and control software that server as the upper computer application of data acquisition and control system. The structure and working flow of data acquisition and control software are designed by using modularized method and multi-thread technology. The data acquisition and control software is divided into seven functional modules and the flow of each module is also designed.3. According to modularized method, the design of another two software, comprehensive manager software and terminal display software, is discussed. In the design of database, the index table is designed to enhance the efficiency of querying the database. And a kind of standard data frame is designed as the unified data format for data transferring, which simplifies data transmission among software. Besides, defining the configuration file of the decoding protocol makes the decoding process more flexible.4. The function of each module of the SSAOCSGTS is realized by using MFC, which laid the foundation for the accomplishment of software including data acquisition and control software, comprehensive manager software, virtual data manage software, terminal display software and device data driving software.
