The thermal response time of the Micro Radiator is one of the main factors which restricts its frame in the resistor array, and the Overdrive Technology is used for resolving it. A new method of using overdrive technology in the pixel unit is presented and verified in this paper so as to save resources and costs of resistor array system.First of all, this paper presents a way to achieve the overdrive technology in pixel unit, and the open-loop control form is adopted by it. by using this method, some costs and resources from the resistor array system will be saved. Meanwhile, the heat balance equation of the radiator is analyzed so that get the theoretical expression of the overdrive technology. Furthermore, we establish the relationship between thermal response time and drive power. For further study of overdrive technology using in pixel unit, the waveform requirement which is applied in micro radiator, the scope of overdrive factor Kod and the area restriction of pixel unit are put forward in this chapter. Subsequently, the circuit structure using to research the pixel unit overdrive technology is designed by these requirements. The parameter, simulation and layout of the circuit are designed in this chapter. And the CSMC 0.5 process was carried out on the circuit. Finally, a test system was set up to verify the circuit design. Finally, a test system was designed to verify the pixel unit overdrive technology. The test method was analyzed. And the temperature characteristic of the micro radiator that was produced by the material Ti NX was tested. Subsequently, the test was carried out and the error of the test result was analyzed. A better test plan was proposed in the last of chapter.
