In the civilian and military areas,the location of target is a kind of important information resources. For some of the non-accessible or non-positioned targets, the passive way of GPS can’t provide effective location services.The multiple sensor fusion photoelectric target positioning system is a kind of active positioning system, the system integrates the laser ranging module 、 GPS module 、 attitude measuring module 、environment information collection module、the video acquisition module and so on.The multiple sensor fusion photoelectric target positioning system can remotely detecte target and acquire the target location information.This paper introduces the principles related to the multiple sensor fusion photoelectric target positioning system,including the pulse laser ranging principle、GPS positioning principle、azimuth angle calculating principle and target position calculating principle. Combined with the theoretical knowledge, This paper designed a set of multiple sensor fusion photoelectric target positioning system,which can be used in the active position. The design work mainly includes hardware circuit design、mechanical structure design and software algorithm design of the system. The part of hardware circuit design expounds laser ranging module circuit design、Video acquisition module circuit design、GPS module circuit design、attitude measuring module circuit design、environmental information acquisition module circuit design、communication interface circuit design、the processor selection、the simulator circuit design and the power supply module circuit design.The part of software algorithm design introduces laser ranging module software design、GPS module software design、attitude measuring module software design、environmental information acquisition module software design、target location calculating algorithm design and the whole process of the system software. In the process of experiment and debugging, each module of the system was debugged respectively.What’s more,the optical axis of the laser ranging module and the video capture module were calibrated preliminary by using the large diameter collimator.Using the multiple sensor fusion photoelectric target positioning system detected the different distance target location. By contrast with Google maps positioning results,find that the multiple sensor fusion photoelectric target positioning system can realize the target location and verified the feasibility of the system design.This paper made the necessary technical preparation for the future research work.
