As the development of wireless sensor networks(WSN) technology and its applications being more widely and updated constantly, privacy and data protection issues are becoming prominent increasingly. Wireless sensor networks are at the bottom of IOT. WSN nodes are deployed in the area which need to be monitored, it could perceive and process information of the area, such as temperature and humidity, barometric pressure and the concentration of pollutants. Because of the low energy, the limited computing resources, simple structure, it do not have sophisticated security authentication capabilities. To ensure that the target node can safely receive and authenticate information, the node identity and data security need to be concerned.After analysis and summary the existing typical mutual authentication scheme of WSN, the authentication process for WSN networks are proposed in user authentication and the in-cluster, and a WSN network testing and experimentation platform could be built. Details are as follows:Firstly, the paper shows that the necessary sense of the WSN in deployment of security policy. On the basis of the common attacks in WSN, this paper analyses encryption scheme, the authentication scheme and other defense methods. Then we build WSN hardware and software development platform to relevant authentication algorithm and scheme.Secondly, according to the security policy in WSN, it was proposed that a two-way authentication in WSNs. This program is consist of user authentication phase and in-cluster authentication process. Taking into account the differences in the user authentication stage equipment and devices in the cluster certification phase, so the different encryption algorithms used in the different stages of authentication, this paper uses XXTEA cryptographic algorithm which is very suitable for embedded devices, encryption and decryption speed fast, easy to implement in in-cluster authentication. Stream encryption algorithm ZUC might be utilized in the user authentication phase. The scheme could reduce the energy consumption of the authentication process by reducing the number of interactions in the certification process.Finally, it is built that ZigBee development platform based on a node CC2430 as a test platform in wireless sensor networks. It could verify the feasibility, availability and security of the scheme. This scheme can completely defend common attacks by analyzing and summarizing results of this program. We analyze and summarize the testing data scheme from the storage overhead, power consumption, communication overhead and time loss, this paper describes the advantages of the scheme in feasibility, performance and low power consumption.
