Wireless sensor networks(WSN) is a self-organizing multi-hop network that iscomposed of a group of sensor nodes, which has the advantages of rapid start, strongsurvivability, and it also has the features of dynamic topology and limited energyresources and so on. WSN can be deployed in harsh environments where people can’tenter easily for work, which is a revolution for perception and gathering information. Asthe important sensory ending of IOT (Internet of Things) and CPS (Cyber-PhysicalSystem), WSN will be deployed in a larger and larger scale, and will be used more andmore widely. However, it results that the existing authentication protocols areinefficient for large-scale deployment of wireless sensor networks, and can’t also meetthe application requirements of WSN, so an effective, security authentication protocolshould be designed for the large-scale wireless sensor networks, which is the currentkey security issue. In the domain-based wireless sensor networks architecture, both efficiency andsafety are considered, for study on the inter-domain authentication methods, derivedfrom Shamir’s secret sharing idea, an identity-based inter-domain authentication andkey agreement protocol is proposed. It solves the problem of low efficiency for theexisting two-party authentication and key agreement protocols are applied to thelarge-scale WSN. For study on the intra-domain authentication methods, the low costcomputing operations are used, a security authentication protocol for RFID conformingto EPC C-1G-2standard is proposed, which effectively solves privacy protect andsecurity problems in the light-weight authentication schemes. The process of the proof and analysis in provable secure model shows that ourproposed lightweight schemes not only solve the security risks in the existingauthentication schemes, but also effectively improve the efficiency of implementationof the agreement. Compared with the existing RFID authentication protocols,ourinter-domain authentication program significantly improves the authenticationefficiency of large-scale deployment wireless sensor networks; In addition, intra-domainauthentication scheme not only improves the security level of the authenticationprogram, but also reduces the complexity.
