Design And Implementation Of The Police Integrated Application Platform System Based On J2EE Architecture

With the growing development of information technology and based on the targets and tasks of the “Golden Shield Projects”, the public security bureaus across the country have invested a large amount of money to have successfully built a large number of informationization application systems and accumulated abundant information resources. On account of this fact, the only way leading to the future public security information construction is to resolve the problems which will occur during resources integration, information sharing, information transmitting, analysis as well as research and judgment among the systems, and also to further improve the level of intelligence information collecting, integration, analysis and research and judgment.Under this background, complying with the life cycle of the software system development, the Police Integrated Application Platform System(PIAPS) which meets the police management needs has been designed. The design of PLAPS starts from system requirements analysis, and then systematical logic scheme design, overall scheme design and detailed design. The system includes several functional modules: Administration and Personnel module, Logistics Support module, Supervision and Evaluation module, Synthetical Office Work module, Cases and Incidents module, Community policing module and so on. It effectively integrated all of the current policing systems and has implemented the special working platform for the different types of police, different departments and different positions. The function of the working platform includes business flow, automatic reminders, supervision and evaluation and so on. And the system forms an information pattern of “once acquisition and then application and sharing among all of the police. It based on J2 EE platform; the interface and the implementation process are completely separate. The popular frame Struts 2.0 is adopted for the front controller and the EJB container of J2 EE is used to manage the business. The advantages of the system are in high availability, reliability and extensibility due to the Struts+Spring+Hibernate mode totally separating the presentation, business logic and data layers.The system testing has been conducted after the system has been built. Based on the testing results, the system has achieved the expected functions.
