With the rapid development of computer technology, embedded technology and network communication technology, embedded data acquisition system has grown up to be a hot topic in computer applications field. In some special applications, there are higher requirements on real-time, accuracy, reliability and transmission of data acquisition. Some existing data acquisition system cannot do a good balance in high accuracy, price, compatible and size. Therefore, the study and design of a data acquisition system that has compatible, cheap, low-power and small size are important.We design a low-power embedded data acquisition system based on MSP430F5438.By processing the monitored data, system transmits data to GPRS or WIFI by utilizing 433m RF antenna. Finally, the data will be sent to network server to be used by the user. Research focuses on data acquisition system consist of:reducing power consumption, improving accuracy and precision, enhancing anti-jamming capability and improving multi-terminal wireless communication capabilities. The thesis introduces a low-power embedded data acquisition system in two aspects: hardware and software.In hardware design, there is low-power device selection and circuit design & testing.In software design, there are some modules design and debugging. These modules include data acquisition module, communication module, memory module, display module and key setting module. Aim of accuracy and precision data collection, we adopt Data collection algorithm. And we also utilize the Communication algorithm to achieve multi-terminal communication. In addition, we propose the warm start solution to improve the anti-interference ability of the whole system.After repeated testing, the average error of the designed system falls down to 0.4% and the maximum error is lower than 2%. When 256 terminals simultaneously work, the packet delivery rate is higher than 98%. After low-power processing, the system power consumption is only 0.59mA. And the warm start solution protects system from halted. The designed low-power embedded data acquisition system has been utilized in building energy collection applications. Actual tests show that our system has good performances in low-power, precision and anti-interference ability.
