Research On AOMDV Protocol Based On Energy Consumption In The Internet Of Things

With the development of the technology of the IoT (Internet of things), the application of IoT has gradually penetrated into people’s daily life, and got more and more people’s attention, it will bring a new technological revolution for changing the human’s society life. The routing protocol is an essential technique in the process of researching the communication about IoT, and this paper has conduct the study about energy consumption of AOMDV protocol in the IoT environment, and put forward a kind of AOMDV_EC routing protocol based on the policy of energy consumption, which aims to balance the energy consumption of each node in the network, to achieve the aim to prolong survival time of network.This paper introduces the energy consumption model in the process of routing discovery, and makes an improvement about the response mechanism of RREQ message through the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages and the working principle of the original AOMDV routing protocol, to make sure routing protocol can avoid the nodes which has too low energy in the process, and reduce unnecessary energy consumption. The experiment established simulation communication scene of 24 mobile nodes through the NS2 network simulation platform, respectively made network testing on AOMDV and AOMDV_EC protocol, and selected different network performance evaluation index to verify the efficiency of network communication.The results show that with the addition of energy strategy, the AOMDV_EC protocol performed more excellently than the original AOMDV protocol in the aspects of average end-to-end delay, routing overhead, the survival time of the network and route discovery frequency, AOMDV_EC not only improved the communication environment of the network, but also improved the communication performance of the whole network.Through the research of this thesis, AOMDV_EC protocol can prolong the network life time in a certain extent, it improved the network performance, and make it more suitable for communication in the high speed mobile network environment, and has the certain reference value for practical application of IoT in the future.
