Research On The Technology Of Upload And Download Rate Upgradation For WCDMA Networks

After nearly five years of 3G network development, China Unicom 3G has more loyal users, especially the popularization of intelligent terminals get a lot of high-end users. These users prefer to use the 3G network, and 3G services have been desired to meet the requirement of the promotion of the higher downlink and uplink rate, how to optimize the 3G networks to allow users to get higher quality experience has become an important issue.This article is mainly to test the Ma’anshan Unicom WCMDA network DT, through the adjustment of free parameters, flow control policy refinement optimization, adjustment of frequency switching parameter, inter-frequency neighbor optimization, the change of ROT(Rise over Thermal) threshold, the change of MPO(Measure Power Offset) constant, the adjustment of HS-SCCH(High Speed-Shared Control) code number and other means to improve third-party road test assessment indicators(FTP download speed, download less than 1Mbps proportion, CQI-MPO(Channel Quality Indicator- Measure Power Offset), FTP upload rate, the proportion of upload speed that lower than 256 kbps, and so on), which allow users to get the higher quality experience of downlink and uplink rate.The results of the study have been guided to set Ma’anshan Unicom WCDMA existing network parameter, and to extend to the whole network of China Unicom, which enhances WCDMA network downlink and uplink rate and improves customer satisfaction.
