The subject comes from a microwave products production line of a research institute. Most of microwave’s modules on the production line have a plurality of test targets. Testers need to refer to different types of test documents and set up the instrument and measurement in the manual way. For special products such as microwave antennas, test locations are more dispersed. Therefore, the test need more test personnel. Because the production line for testing instrument has many types and form of interface, it brings many questions such as instrument compatibility when testers trying to build automated test system. Faced with these problems, the current line is still used primarily to test artificial way.This traditional way of production testing drawbacks is easy to introduce artificial error, while increasing the production test time and labor costs.With the openness and standardized technology development of testing system, a new measuring instrument software standards, advanced test software development environment is applied to practical engineering. The microwave-automatic measurement platform can be applied to the remote control test equipment and flexible configuration connection between instruments and test content, realize the automation of product measurement. The automatic test system provides friendly man-machine interfaces and uses configuration files to record test information which reduces the testers’ workload. Test script file can be flexible configuration of various testing solution, shorten the testing time. Expert templates were included in the script which can be carried out on the test data automatic analysis and judgement. Through the network connection with the enterprise, test plan and test data can be efficiently share in each department. Through practical engineering applications, it indicates that the platform can automatically measure microwave products for the microwave production process and product quality for effective monitoring and control, while reduce the workload of testers, improve product quality and practical value.
