At present, a new generation of information and communication technology, such as IOT(Internet of things), large data, cloud computing, develops very rapidly. Through the integration with other new technologies, IOT is accelerating the penetration of intelligent medical care, new energy and materials.As an important link of sensor network and traditional communication network, IOT gateway has been widespread concern.However, through the analysis of the current situation of IOT gateway at home and abroad, we find that IOT gateway generally has the disadvantages of poor processing ability, lack of user interaction, single access mode, and these shortcomings have seriously hampered the development of the IOT industry.To solve the problems above, we design a system of IOT gateway based on ARM. Firstly, this thesis explains the architecture of IOT gateway: perception and access layer, data processing layer, application layer. According to this architecture, we put forward overall design scheme and design schemes of various levels(perception and access layer uses the ZigBee technology, data processing layer uses embedded technology, application layer adopts multi access technology). Then, complete the hardware design and Boot Loader transplantation. At last, this thesis builds a compiler environment and tests the functions of IOT gateway. The tests show that IOT gateway based on ARM can meet the design requirements.
