Design And Implementation Of Information Management System For People Form Other Places In A Community

Management of people from other places for communities is a new service industry driven by the rapid development of market economy. Although it has just begun, it has been developing rapidly, from small to big, and from weak to strong. Information of people from other places in a community was mainly managed by manual labor traditionally; however, this way of management has many shortcomings: it is laborious; the produced data are easy to lose; handwriting is non-standard and unreadable; it costs money and time. Obviously, this management method can not satisfy people’s requirements of work and life along with today’s rapid development of information technology. With the constant progress of internet technology, the internet has provided a large platform for information management, and an information management system for people from other places for communities is produced under such circumstances and put into use. The application of this system can improve management methods, provide convenience for the management personnel of a community to master, classify, search and evaluate the information of the people from other places, accelerate the speed of handle issues, meet the requirements of quick search of information of people from other places, change original management image of a community and improve management level and quality in a community.This system is used for management of people from other places for communities. It applies ASP.NET as well as popular frameworks and techniques. In the whole process of software development, in accordance with concept of software engineering, demand analysis, general and detailed design of this system, system implementation and system test are conducted in succession. In the phase of demand analysis, feasibility analysis is conducted firstly, and then functional and nonfunctional demands of users are illustrated. In the phase of design, system functions are designed firstly in six aspects: management of temporary residence certificate for people from other places, management of information for people from other places, management of information on house, management of community service and management of system maintenance, based on which database is designed. In the phase of system implementation, the primary codes for process of each module and implementation of functions are provided. In the phase of system test, several representative modules are selected to serve as test cases, and comparison is performed between the expected results and the actual results.Through test and actual use, it is proved that the functions of the information management system for people from other places for communities, in accordance with the working procedures, can satisfy all the requirements of management for a community. This system can not only meet all the functional requirements, but has properties of friendly interface, simple operability and high reliability.
