With a complex variety of electronic warfare technology development and the oper-ational environment, the performance requirements of the electronic surveillance system also will be higher. High-performance reception antenna module, designed microwave front end, providing high sensitivity, dynamic range to expand and improve the signal to noise ratio and improve the receiver’s own back-end receiver sensitivity and frequency measurement accuracy. The microwave detector logarithmic video amplifier is mainly used for radar warning machine for power or pulse detection applications,large dynamic range of input can be compressed into a small dynamic range of video voltage to provide an input microwave power is proportional to the output voltage, the current radar, commu-nications and electronic warfare systems and many other areas occupy an indispensable position.The main content of this paper includes:1) It introduced the basic principles of common logarithmic amplifier, indicators and characteristics;2) It described some of the logarithmic amplifier design process and key points;3) It introduced diode limiter, diode detector design method, and achieved with GaAs. ha...
