Nowadays, with the development of information technology, more and more enterprises have their own machine rooms, keeping stability status of different kinds of devices in the room in monitor is playing an important role to their daily operation. So, installing a room monitoring system is necessary. But so far in market, most of the engine room monitoring system still use two-dimensional display technology, which would result in difficulty in understanding or operating monitor systems. Actually this can be well solved with the new three-dimensional display technology, which can make it have revolutionary development. And due to fast development of hardware technology currently, the hardware feasibility can make sure that room monitoring system can be well based on three-dimensional display technology.Three-dimensional computer graphics display technology, is an important branch of virtual reality(Virtual Reality), it can be applied to the construction, tourism, gaming, medical and aerospace industries. Three-dimensional display room monitoring research and implementation include a number of technical disciplines, such as computer graphics, digital image science, virtual reality, network communications, database and other disciplines. Firstly, several key technologies of OpenGL three-dimensional graphics display has been studied, including OpenGL graphics drawing, color, texture mapping and three-dimensional computation technology. Then to build equipment and room’s three-dimensional data modeling using 3ds Max software, and use OpenGL three-dimensional technology to reconstruct, also study on the technology of monitoring systems realization, this technology includes the design of a dynamic construction and equipment layout, manual and automatic walkthrough, design data display information of equipment, animation, dynamic display plane, two-dimensional and three-dimensional maps mapping, and so on. According to the study, transformation from two-dimensional to three-dimensional room display system is not just simple dimensional extension, you must also study 3D model data, space technology, compute three-dimensional arithmetic.After the three-dimensional technology part, taking Luoding Polytechnic room as an example to achieve a three-dimensional room monitoring system based on OpenGL display, including three-dimensional data modeling of buildings and equipment, conversion and visualization of three-dimensional optimization of real-time data, walkthrough and operation, showing the effect of three-dimensional animation, equipment monitoring value displays. The system is based on three-dimensional OpenGL graphics display technology, 3ds Max software modeling, and use the C ++ language, Qt libraries and other technologies.In this paper, three-dimensional OpenGL display technology will be further studied as room monitoring systems and related technologies can provide a valuable experience to enterprise users.
