In today’s management, logistics, transportation and other fields, Technology of Internet of Things has been widely used, and it has been the rapid development for its application prospects. Radio frequency identification technology(RFID) as a key in the development of the Internet of things technology,paid attention by countries for a long time.As the important part of the RFID system applications, RFID reader directly determine the development and promotion, developing a high-performance RFID reader has important scientific significance.In view of present RFID reader’s single function and the application of low cost performance problems in aspect of warehouse management and logistics in domestic. This paper introduces a kind of multi-band RFID reader’s software design and implementation. The reader integrates UHF ISO 18000-6B/6C protocol and microwave 2.45 GHz GB/T28925 protocol.UHF RFID module function satisfied for inventory and induction in a large number of items with UHF passive tags; Microwave frequency band RFID module function to meet with inventorying a distance of 2.45 GHz active tags.At the same time the two modules work independently in the reader based on reasonable algorithm of software design, using the same reader in different applications and choosing appropriate frequency band RFID module,which can greatly reduce the labor cost and improve the reader’s efficiency and has a broad application prospect.The development of RFID technology is introduced firstly by this paper. Then according to the actual function requirements giving multi-band RFID reader’s overall architecture, the hardware architecture and solutions based on the multi-band RFID modules software solutions,software architecture of the Android system and two frequency RFID modules protocol. According to the process of design and implementation of drivers, middle control programs and Android application program and upper machine program,then complete and implement the software design. Through the software test results summary designing deficiencies and puts forward the prospect in the future.
