Satellite communications, because of its wide coverage area, the communication distance, communication capacity, communication and good stability, has been widely used in civilian and military communications, such as WCDMA, CCSDS and other systems. To ensure that the information cannot be distorted by noise interference in the transmission process, the channel coding is added to the encoding process. TPC(Turbo Product Code) and the convolutional code are two kind of code word which have a variety use.The main contents of this paper are:1:Analysis the methods of channel coding parameters estimation and the software requirements. The software should contain three parts: data generating, parameters estimation, and statistical tests. At the same time, the identification probability should higher than 90% when the bit error rate is 0.001.2: Analysis the identification methods of convolutional code. Including rate,generator polynomial, synchronization. We mainly focus on the Euclidean algorithm.We extended the method and from 1/2 rate to 01 / n rate. Then, the statistical properties of the convolutional code are analysised. Then apply BWT method to convolutional code encoding parameters estimation, and do a matlab simulation.3: completed the design, implementation of channel coding parameters estimation. The functional design, process design, interface design,.m programming, interface writing and interface implementation of the three parts are introduced.4: Completed the channel coding parameters recognition software test. Including its functionality testing and performance testing. At the same time, the tested content, test methods, test records and test problems are detailed. At last, giving the solution to the problems when testing and leading the software comply with the requirements.
