With the development of science and technology and the improvement of people’s living standard, people’s demand for residential is increasing very high. The smarthome was born to solve the people’s demands.Since the first intelligent building born in 1984, there are a lot of solutions for smarthome in the world. But they more or less have some defects. Either the cost of whole system is too high,or the system can only access specific household electrical appliances and have poor scalability. There haven’t a plan can be a recognized standard.By the repeated research of the technology of smarthome and the market, the thesis puts forward a solution of smarthome based on Android platform and 2.4G wireless network in view of the above questions. The system uses an Android tablet computer as the control centerand CC2511 as the wireless transceiver. Through the 2.4G wirelessnetwork,system uses the SimpliciTI protocol to exchange information. So we can control the household appliances. This system also uses a mobile with Android system to realize remote control. Community server provides community services for the smarthome users as a community service module. In the whole designing and implementing process of system we have used the following technologies: Android technology, 2.4G wireless communication technology, infrared technology, remote control technology. The smarthome furnishing design can satisfy the functional requirements of the appliance control. At the same time, because of the using of 2.4G wireless technology, the thesis reduces the cost of the entire system greatly.The thesis mainly introduce the design and realization of the intelligent control center of smarthome. This part includes:(1) The development of the application of Android flat end. In this part, the thesis has used the widget of Android and the designing principles to design the UI of control center.(2) The thesis has introduced the designing and implementing of the communication between Android tablet computer and the CC2511. In this section the thesis has used the JNI technology to realize the conmunication between Android tablet computer and the CC2511. Android plate and CC2511 constitute the main module of the intelligent control center.(3) The thesis has introduced the designing and implementing of the database. Because there don’t have a great amount of data, The thesis has used the lightweight database Sqlite. Sqlite has the characteristics of independence and development, it is very suitable for embedded systems.(4) The thesis has finished the designing and implementing of remote control. In this part, it realizes the communication through realizing the communication between mobile phone and the server and the communication between server and the tablet computer. This module includes two parts, one is the date exchange between the mobilephone terminal and the community server, the other one is the date exchange between the community server and the Android plate. The thesis has used the client server model.
